Melanosis coli: Melanosis coli is a completely benign condition seen on colonoscopy (the inside of the colon has dark brown or even black markings). It's most often seen in people who take laxatives on a long-term or chronic basis. The melanosis coli is not a problem in and of itself--but it tells the doctor you have had constipation for a long time which can lead to other problems, like diverticulosis.

Long-term unknown: melanosis Cole I is not a serious disease. It looks bad because the mucosa is completely black. It causes pigment deposition and this can be seen under the microscope. This does not seem to cause any cancer or increased risk of infection or blood problems. There are other treatment for chronic constipation I feel the best one is polyethylene glycol so called MiraLAX it is Lawyer and very effective
