Probably: It is likely that a vanishing twin would have some effect on the hormone levels for prenatal genetic screening tests. If the test result is abnormal you should follow through with the recommended further testing.

No: if they were identical twins, they would share the exact same genetic information. So no it should not make any difference. If they were fraternal twins, still should not be any effect. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck. Dr. R
