If it is new, then: it might be good to ask for a cardiac ultrasound. Many murmurs are functional (heard with stethescope) but not signifcantly altering the flow of blood though the valve. It might be good to have an ultrasound to better evaluate just how good or not so good the valve function is. This gives a detailed picture that could be compared in the future, so one could tell if it has changed over time.
