I certainly hope so!: Vsd (ventricular septal defetct) is a congenital defect in which there is an abnormal opening between the two lower heart chambers. It can be large and cause symptoms of heart failure, or very small, causing no problems. Depending on size of the opening and blood flow, the murmur (sound made by the blood flowing across the opening) can vary. A board-certified cardiologist should be familiar.

Not that difficult: The majority of primary care docs, pediatricians and certainly cardiologist will recognize a VSD murmur. Many would get a study to verify it, but this is something taught to students in medical school.
