All hormones are affected during pregnancy and post delivery. your thyroid has increased demands, your prolactin must go up significantly for breast milk, and to suppress pregnancy, your ACTH and your pituitary is making more cortisol to deal with the stressors of pregnancy and delivery... They settle back to normal at around 3 months
