Look at the FDA site: about the test. Here is part of what it says: Additionally, a negative test result does not mean that an individual is definitely not infected with HIV, particularly when exposure may have been within the previous three months. Again an individual should obtain a confirmatory test in a medical setting.

Additional testing: 92% test sensitivityit is the percentage of results that will be positive when HIV is present. This means that one false negative result would be expected out of every 12 test results in HIV infected people. Additional testing in a medical setting is recommended

OraQuick Home Tests: Good day; Mouth fluid HIV test are quite accurate. Studies detected 91.7 percent of patients who were HIV positive and a 99.9 percent of the population who were not infected with HIV. If test not totally conclusive have another 3-4 weeks from present and note result. Your P.C.MD or infectious disease MD would be appropriate individuals to consult with should there be a positive result.
