Could you be...: Referring to fissures, fistula, abscess? Sexually transmitted disease (syphilis, gc, hiv, etc.) should be considered, as should pinworms. Hemorrhoids & rectal prolapse may appear as intermittent bulging, that may evade detection by exam. Anal trauma of any kind may cause mechanical injury. Skin eruptions (even sublte ones) need to be considered. Also, proctalgia fugax possible. Get second opinion.
