When doing straight leg test and no pain is felt could you still have a herniated disc? or is the test pretty accurate. thanks

Disc Herniation: Absolutely could still have a disc herniation. The straight leg test on the same side is a very sensitive test and when positive on the opposite side is very specific. The diagnosis is based off of culmination of history, entire physical exam and MRI imaging.
