Is there a less invasive procedure (imaging,i.e.) than angiogram to diagnose heart blood vessel blockage?

Yes, sort of: Stress tests, such as stress echocardiogram and nuclear stress tests can give an indication that there are blockages in the coronary arteries, If these tests are positive you would need an angiogram for a definitive diagnosis.

It depends: The answer is more complicated than you can imagine. It depends on the definition of "blockage", the presence or absence of symptoms and the reason for the test. A nuclear medicine stress test is the first test done if a physician suspects a patients symptoms are due to coronary disease but isn't 100% sure. It will usually give the answer. If the results are equivocal a CT angiogram will be done.
