Yes: The fact that you can "pop" your back means that something is out of alignment. Pain is your bodies way of telling you that something is wrong. A physical therapist should be able help you set things right as well as give you exercises to perform that will lessen the chance of future occurrences.

Not likely: There can be many causes of back pain including accidents, strains, and injuries, but popping your back is not one of them. See your PCP for evaluation and treatment if needed. .
