A member asked:

Is taking your pulse at the chest going to give you inaccurate readings or a different reading then taking it at wrist?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tough place: The chest is a difficult place to feel the pulse - and probably more so for women (for obvious reasons). The "pulse" of the chest I suppose would be felt at the tip of the heart, or the apical impulse but this can be challenging to assess. The radial pulse on the underside of your wrist is usually much easier palpated.
