Few days max: Sometimes can have what's known as a steroid flare where your pain becomes worse after getting a "cortisone" injection. Icing it and taking anti-inflammatory medications (nsaids) helps; can also try topical creams. Talk to your doctor if its been more than a few days and not getting better.
