Possibilities: Inflammation of the urethra from continued infection due to bacteria resistant to the antibiotic can cause a burning sensation at the tip of the penis, as can balanitis, a type of yeast infection that does not respond to antibiotics. Balanitis, however, usually is visible as red marks on the head of the penis, or swelling of the foreskin. A visit back to the doctor is needed.
