A one sided headache: that makes you nauseous sounds like a migraine.Have you had this kind of headache before?Anyone in your family have migraines?The best over the counter med for migraine in Excedrin extra strength .It works best if taken at the onset of the migraine.Did you notice any sort of flashing or zig-zag lights in your peripheral vision just before the onset of this headache( another symptom of migraine)?
