Had a baby 2 months ago and breastfeeding. taken 3 pregnancy tests and all have been a faint positive. can this be just hormones left over?

Yes: It is very unlikely to get pregnant this soon after childbirth especially when breast feeding. You produce hormones that help prevent pregnancy. Kinda makes sense. Would not be a good plan to be able to get pregnant and have kids that close together. You would have difficulty feeding and caring for them. Not impossible but difficult. Wait a month or so and recheck lab test.
