Ear infection: You need to have your ear checked by your doctor, the fluid may remain impairing your hearing without a residual infection. If need be other antibiotics can be given not related to either drug, but first the correct diagnosis needs to be established. Sudafed can help.

Decongestant: You do not say if you were seeing a doctor. It would always be helpful to be examined by a professional. You might try a decongestant to open up the throat end of the eustacian tube which drains from the middle ear. If this does not work see an ENT doctor.

Be patient: The fluid & mucus that are always present in middle ear infections can take a few weeks to clear & allow hearing to return to baseline. If you are a month past treatment I would get the ear checked.
