Probably no: However, if you have a mass that is growing and changing color, it needs to be evaluated. See your primary care physician. They will probably be able to give you a diagnosis just by looking, but they may simply remove it and send it to be tested. Obviously you are worried that it might be melanoma. very unlikely with how you described it.
