Irregular menses: Pregnancy is unlikely but I recommend you get a pregnancy test. The most likely problem you are facing Right now may be irregular period until further evaluation.

Normal cycles: Normal cycles are not always regular. You have a period about 14 days after you ovulate. So Dec 16 you ovulated. If period started today, you ovulated on Jan 11 which is about 3 days early. Your body is not a machine, It can be a few days early or late. Unlikely that it has any meaning at all other than the egg popped out of the ovary 3 days early. Have a happy day.
