Dvt unlikely: It would be unlikely to develop a DVT if you have been more active lately rather than if you had been less active. Given the history of an orif, the discomfort may simply be related to this previous repair. Take it easy today but if the symptoms persist, seeing a physician might be a good idea.

Where: If the pain is in the ankle, my thoughts would be early arthritis from the break or pain from the fixation hardware. If they are in the calf, it could be reoccurrent dvt. Either way, see your ankle surgeon and have it checked promptly.
