My cervix would not dilate to allow for an iud. he used a plastic sound, no drugs. i had cryotherapy on my cervix a few years ago. can i have an iud?

IUD/cryotherapy: Cryotherapy can cause scarring of the cervical canal, making the insertion of an IUD difficult. Local anesthesia can reduce discomfort, but most clinicians can insert an IUD after dilation of the canal.
