My 4 month okd baby really struggles to poo, he was recently badly constipated. how long does a probiotic take to work?

4ever: Maybe a week or two. It has to enhance your baby's natural microbiome. Try 'baby' pear or Apple juice on a temporary basis. It contains sorbitol which is a natural laxative. Organic is better. 5 ml twice a day should do it. The biggest risk is that your baby will LOVE it and you don't want to make a habit of that.
