No: Pedialyte is not for the flu, it is for diarrhea. If he doesn't have diarrhea, a regular diet of breast if you are breast feeding or formula if you are formula feeding is what is needed. If he wont eat because of the flu, then pedialyte would be appropriate to give to keep up with fluid losses. The amount needs is based on weight. Consult with your doctor for further recommendations and amount
