Needs evaluation: from what you are describing, there needs to be a more extensive workup than just a CBC. And more information is needed than what can be written through a simple healthtap Q&A. Start with a comlete history and evaluation by your pediatrician with possible referral if needed. 32 missed school days is far too many for a 12 year old.

Need much more info: This situation sounds too complex to be handled in 400 letters or less. It's best handled by the doc that's been seeing him on a regular basis. They are going to know the details of: what illnesses have been making him sick, is he having more severe symptoms than his cohorts, what have been the findings on his physical exams, AND the lab results? Keep follow-up with his primary care physician
