Weight-based dosing: Medicine dosing for kids is based on their weight. For Azithromycin the recommended dose is 10 mg/kg. So for a 20 kg child that would be fine. For an 10 kg child the dose should be 2.5 milliliters daily of the 200/5 concentration. Discuss with your prescribing physician or pharmacist for further clarification if needed.
