See below: All medication is reasonably safe if used appropriately (otherwise, the fda would not approve them!) that being said, yes, Minocycline has a high safety margin.

Minocycline: This medication may produce vertigo (dizziness or unsteadiness) in about 8% of patients taking 100 mg twice a day. This may be helped if the dose is distributed to 50 mg four times a day. Some patients may develop sensitivity to sunlight and burn more easily. Otherwise the drug is generally as safe as an antibiotic can get.
