Dr. is correct.: This type of procedure is very common. It is also a very simple procedure that does not take a great deal of time. Scarring is a possibility but is rare as your doctor said. you can assist your doctor after the procedure by looking for excessive bleeding, fever, chills and intense pain as an indicator of a problem. Once again this is very rare but quick response to a problem will stop it.
