I took 2.5mg of adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and breast fed my 3month old 6hours later. should i be concerned about him getting any in the breast milk?

Discuss this with: your doctor. A percentage of the amphetamine will transfer to the breast milk.

FDA's position: This is the official position of the FDA regarding breastfeeding and taking Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) at the same time by the mother: Usage in Nursing Mothers: Amphetamines are excreted in human milk. Mothers taking amphetamines should be advised TO REFRAIN from nursing. Not categorically contraindicated but I take it as about as strong a recommendation not to use Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) while nursing as one can make.
