Normal: Some eggs take longer to mature than others so there is some variation in cycle length. 28 days has become the expected length of each cycle because of birth control pills. Any where from 21 days from the start of one to the start of the next to 35-42 days ( depending on your source) is considered normal. Many women wish that they were on the longer end of this range.
