Is it true that drinking sparkling (carbonated) mineral water will lower your magnesium levels, and if so, why? thank you.

Not true: There is absolutely no evidence that carbonated mineral water lowers levels of magnesium or other minerals. See http://tinyurl.com/kojkd24 Soft drinks are acidifying and can leach calcium but not carbonated mineral water, in fact they offer varying amounts of magnesium and choosing a brand relatively high in magnesium will increase your levels- see http://tinyurl.com/mk4ccxw
