Maybe...: If IUD is copper - no problem. If you have hormonal IUD doc should be aware before starting another agent. Hormonal IUD's have been associated with worsening acne as they contain levonorgestrel which is androgenic. Depending on how old the IUD is may want to consider removing. estrogen can work to control acne but may take months. Spironolactone is sometimes added.
