Can you develop an allergy to something if you have it too much?

Depends: Before you can become allergic to something, you must have exposure. With repeated exposure in a person with genetics prone to allergy (family history of allergies), the risk is increased. This exposure applies to penicillin and animal dander but the odds are much lower for food allergy especially in an adult.
