Is there a medical term for self-esteem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: Insofar as I know, self-esteem is not a medical issue, it is an emotional one. Find a recommended therapist to discuss where your question comes from, so to speak, what self-esteem means to you. If you have poor self-esteem, medications alone cannot cure it. If medications are warranted, as in the cases of anxiety or depression, psychotherapy is highly recommended.
