Why ??: The primary way mom's know a newborn is feeding well is their urine output. By the time they get home they should wet every 6 hours or so, and that frequency validates adequate feeding.I discourage home scales as unreliable. My patients are free to come to the office and weigh their babies on the same scale I use, which will produce results that are consistent with prior findings.
