About 70% of people : with Down Syndrome have Intellectual Disability in the mild to moderate range, though some have borderline normal IQ's of 70-80 & some have severe-profound ID. By definition, social- adaptive skills in ID are concomitantly low. Eriksonian stages are based on individuals with age-appropriate higher-order cognition & social understanding. Higher-functioning people with DS go thru some stages.

Downs: If not properly mainstreamed into the public education system, those with Downs syndrome are at just as much risk for having a poorly formed identity as those who do not have Downs syndrome.
