What is a mild frontoparietal cortical atrophy near the vertex in the brain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anatomy: This means that on an MRI or CT scan, the cortex of the brain in the frontal area and parietal area is thinner than the average person. The vertex means near the top of the head/brain. If the person has neurologic symptoms that could be related to those areas of the brain, this could be the cause. It can also be an incidental finding.
