A member asked:

Does drinking liquor cause any health problems?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Every health problem: we have is worsened by alcohol. Alcohol, in excessive quantities, over time, especially in genetically susceptible people, can damage virtually every organ system in the body. It damages the brain and nervous system, the heart, the liver, the pancreas, reduces our immune system and increases infections, causes dependency with a potentially severe withdrawal. Small amounts may help heart health.
