Afraid to speak: In my experience, and i cannot know what you have gone through, it is so much better when patients tell me what their worries and thoughts are. Medicine is often like putting a puzzle together. Before i became a physician i worked in the icus at a children's hospital. There was so much trauma, but so much grace and dignity in the love and faith that parents and families brought to that place.

Label bias : Cerebral palsy is a disorder of movement of movement & posture related to injury to the central nervous system from pregnancy to 3 y.Having a CP label doesn't change your kids needs or therapy. Many parents find it hard to ask loaded questions, fearing the answer may bring bad news. Some docs just don't like to use big labels for things they consider more minor.Ask directly, the answer will help.
