What happens if the temperature of a newborn baby drops suddenly?

Temperature: this is not a common occurrence. But also depends on what you mean by "drop suddenly". And how the temp is being measured. Fevers (temperature above 100.4F) can drop fairly quick after giving a medication like acetaminophen. Other serious medical conditions like sepsis can cause a drop in temperature. More information is needed to better answer your question.

More info pls: Newborns, particularly premature infants may experience a drop in temperature quite easily. Covering the head with a cap is recommended to prevent excessive heat loss. Ensuring that the baby has warm layers without overbundling is advised.
