Pain began in inner/upper right hip/groin when lifting leg towards chest about 5 months ago. xray, mri, show nothing. thoughts?

Ligament: A strain of the ligament in the groin(inguinal ligament) could have occurred during that leg maneuver and this type of injury persists for a long period of time because of continued activities. Discuss this with your orthopedic surgeon who may recommend certain restrictions on your activity and some physical therapy as well.
