Yeast: It is most likely a yeast infection and the Metrogel just did not adequately treat it. You may consider asking your doctor for a one-pill only prescription of Difulcan or if it's this bad and resistant for a 2 or 3 pill dose each 72 hours apart. I assume you already saw him/her if you had the Metrogel and they did cultures? If you didn't it may be time to see them.

Yeast infection: Metrogel is used to treat bacterial vaginosis which usually has clear fishy smelling thin discharge. Thick clumpy white discharge sounds very much like a yeast infection. To be certain you could have your primary doctor or OB/GYN do a swab and wet microscope mount/KOH Prep. You could also try an over the counter yeast infection medication like Monostat.
