About

Bio

I’m Daniel Bates MD, MS (Dr. Dan to my friends and patients, same thing really). I am a Family Medicine doctor, husband and father playing and working in the Elk Grove and Sacramento area. I’m basically a farm boy from Colorado who it turns out likes taking care of people more than cows. I grew up ranching cattle in a small foothills town, in a community of neighbors who took care of each other through thick and thin. It’s that spirit that I want to bring back to medicine. I’m trying to bring back the romance and personal touch of the old country doctor to the busy world of modern medicine.
