Raw Risk: Make sure you get your sprouts from a trusted source. If sprouts are exposed to animal fertilizers or unsanitary hands, you are at risk of contracting food poisoning. Cold water washing sometimes isn't enough to wash the bacteria off and cooking is your only way to kill these bacteria.
