Floaters: Floaters are common and usually due to a change in the protein composition of the vitreous (inside gel of the eye). The best way to "treat" them is to allow the brain to adjust: so cognitive therapy in effect might help (no randomized controlled study to prove that yet to my knowledge); [check with your eyemd that they are "just" floaters and not inflammation in the eye.]-sounds like you did :).

Maybe: Cbt or cognitive behavioral therapy can be quite helpful in dealing with floaters. Unfortunately, tackling the floaters directly is not always possible or advisable, so it is very helpful to learn to deal with the floaters.
