Hormones: Hello, When we speak of irregular periods, we think of something that happened or did not happen to change the nature of the period. Since this is a hormonal system then taking medicines with hormones, or hormone-producing cysts can influence the period in this manner. Also if there was no ovulation then there won't be the normal hormones present in the normal amounts to have regular periods.
