Some questions: What did the lab result say you tested positive for? Some labs will have a category labeled "positive" on their reports which lists anything found even if no significance for cervical cancer. So if other cells or organisms (fungi/yeast) are seen it may be reported "positive". Or perhaps you are talking about the HPV part--blood tests likely not helpful. Ask your doc to clarify/repeat.
