See a physician: A new painful or tender lump could be an abscess due to bacterial infection, among causes. You need to see a physician for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Mole: if you have concerns about a pigmented lesion you should see your primary care doctor or a dermatologist. What did this mole look like? Was it round/oval and well defined? Any changes in size or color? https://www.aad.org/dermatology-a-to-z/diseases-and-treatments/m---p/melanoma/signs-symptoms You may have developed something like an epidermal inclusion cyst beneath it. See a dermatologist.
