Herpes simplex: What you describe are unlikely to be due to Herpes infection. The best way in which to check would be to unroof the lesions and obtain stains and viral cultures. In the alternative you could get viral serologies to measure antibody formation, but these would leave you with no guarantee that the lesions you describe were due to Herpes infection which could have occurred at another time.
