My daughter of 5 suddenly prefers to stay in rather than go out to play....she has recently developed a phobia of flying insects... how do i tackle?

Phobias/flying insec: You need to be supprotive and show her by letting her observe you be outside and thta the insecxts did nto harm you. Don't push her in to situations where she feels threatened if she doe snot wnat to go there. Le ther work it out by wathcing others and she will gradullay overcome it.

Specific phobias, : Separation anxiety, ocd, & other anxiety disorders of preschool onset differ from " normal" childhood fears in that they impede the child's daily functioning. Genetics + environment +a cautious, quiet, shy temperament =the reason. A child psychologist assesses overall development, does (exposure-response avoidance) therapy & teaches you to manage, rather than reinforce, anxiety-driven behaviors.
