Rib injury: It is probably a bruised rib or chest muscle. Since it is still painful, should get it evaluated.

More time: Sounds like a highly moderate impact occurred, and you should be getting more relief soon with relatively quick recovery thereafter. Give it a few more weeks as long as it's slowly improving, and doesn't impair your breathing and remains positional. Otherwise note any worsening or unusual symptoms and get to your medical provider. Get well.
