Many other choices: Meat is a good source of protein but there are many other good sources. Other sources of animal origin are eggs & cheese. The highest vegetable sources are beans, nuts & seeds. Tofu and tempeh (from soy) are common alternatives but choose non-GMO soy to avoid high residues of the herbicide Round-Up. Research shows vegetarians enjoy better health. Meat substitutes.: If it's red meat you dislike, fish is a great and healthier substitute. If it's all animal proteins you wish to avoid, there are veggie burgers and other meat substitute products that taste pretty good and exist as viable meat substitutes.
